“Torturer-in-Chief” Dick Cheney Endorses Kamala Harris

A great friend and political ally of the Anglo-American war machine has come out in support of Kamala Harris for President. Dick Cheney, the infamous Vice President of President George W. Bush (2001-2009), wrote on Sept. 6 that “In our nation’s 248-year history, there has never been an individual who is a greater threat to our republic than Donald Trump…. That is why I will be casting my vote for Vice President Kamala Harris.”

Knowing who Dick Cheney is, he certainly meant a “greater threat to our military-industrial-financial complex”. Indeed, there are few living politicians whose records are worse than Cheney’s. He led the drive to launch the murderous Iraq War in 2003, after deliberately covering up the facts about who was really behind the attacks of September 11, 2001 on the World Trade Center. He then consistently condoned and encouraged the war crimes and torture committed in and around that war. He had been among the original signers of the charter of the Project for the New American Century (PNAC) in 1997, whose objective was to ensure the primacy of the United States over a unipolar world. He had come to the White House directly from Halliburton, the multinational provider of services to the oil industry, where he served as Chief Executive from 1995 to 2000. Lyndon LaRouche led a years-long campaign for the impeachment of Vice President Dick Cheney, whom he counted among the “beast men” of American politics.

If Harris had any scruples, she would have rejected the endorsement of a man nicknamed the “torturer-in-chief”. But she welcomed it.

Donald Trump himself has stated his intention to put an end to the war in Ukraine “within 24 hours” if elected, but he is known for making boisterous claims that he cannot make good on. To his credit, however, he has repeatedly warned against the danger of a third World War. He told a campaign rally in Las Vegas on Sept. 13 that with the current provocations from Washington, “You’re going to have a nuclear Holocaust….These people have no idea what they’re doing.”

That is the main reason why he has received the support of two long-time Democratic Party “dissidents”, Robert F. Kennedy, Jr. and former Congresswoman Tulsi Gabbard. At the same Las Vegas rally, Gabbard warned that “We are closer to the brink of World War III and nuclear war today than we ever have been before directly because of the Harris-Biden administration’s foreign policy.”

RFK, Jr. also issued warnings denouncing the neocons for “pushing for maximum confrontation” with the world’s largest nuclear power. The foreign policy establishment, he wrote, is “gambling with the future of our planet”.
